BAC's COMPETITIVE SWIM CLASSES 

Barracuda Aquatics Club conducts swim classes/clinics throughout the year in Bloomington and Shakopee in cooperation with Bloomington Community Education, Bloomington Park and Recreation and Shakopee Park and Recreation.  Below is information on when the classes are in session and how to enroll.

Introduction to Competitive Swimming - Youth

The purpose of this Introduction to Competitive Swimming Class is to provide swimmers, level 4 and up, with a basic introduction to competitive swimming skills.   The class will be taught and directed by a USA Swimming Certified Professional Swim Coach from the Bloomington based BARRACUDA AQUATICS CLUB.  Participants will learn to:
-          Execute competitive swimming technique drills in Butterfly, Backstroke (Back
                    Crawl), Breaststroke and Freestyle (Front   Crawl). 
-          Learn and develop competitive racing turns for all 4 competitive strokes.
-          Be able to execute the 4 competitive strokes efficiently.

Next class starts in March 2013

 Shakopee Parks and Recreation
Competitive Swim Camp
This class is offered in the spring and summer.  The next class will be conducted in March of 2012.  Join us for a week of stroke clinic and competitive swimming fun.  Participants will learn techniques for the 4 competitive strokes including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. A mini swim meet will be held on Friday of the camp for parents and friends to come watch!

The next clinic will be conducted in March 2013.  Competitive Swim Clinic & Tryout Event will be held at the Oak Grove Middle School pool.
