                                        Steve Neale

Coach Neale has been around Hart swimming from the beginning – literally.  In 1970 Hart High fielded its first swim team (before title IX - so boys only).  The captain of the inaugural squad was senior Steve Neale.  There is no truth to the rumor that the team trained in the irrigation ditches of the Newhall Land & Farm orchards where the weaker swimmers would be swept downstream to Fillmore and Santa Paula.

Coach Neale swam and played water polo for four years at CSUN and competed in three Division II NCAA championships, placing 13th in the 100 breaststroke at the 1974 NCAA finals.  After graduation, coach Neale returned to Hart where he served as assistant to coach Joel Barr from 1975 to 1978. From 1979 to 1982 Coach Neale was the head girls coach for Saugus High School and from 1982 to 1983 he was head water polo coach, girls and boys swim coach at Simi High School.  In 1984 he returned to become the head girls and boys coach at Hart High where he as been ever since.

Coach Neale continues to compete in swimming and masters competition and is a semi-serious triathlete competing in and completing two Hawaiian Ironman World Championships.  During the summer Coach Neale works as a LA County Lifeguard at Castaic Lake.

 Christine Worby

Coach Christine (Castellano) Worby joined the Hart coaching staff in 2007 as an assistant coach.  Christine began swimming for Parks & Recreation at the age of 8 and less than a year later began swimming club.  She was a four year varsity swimmer and CIF finalist at Hart High School.  After high school she spent two years at College of the Canyons getting her AA while swimming and playing water polo.  After two years at COC, she transferred to the University of Redlands where she continued swimming and was a two year letter winner and SCIAC finalist.  She graduated from the University of Redlands with a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies and her minor in Physical Education, and is currently a 1st grade teacher at Old Orchard Elementary School.

  Becky Cianessi

Becky (Skyler) Cianessi has joined the ranks as the third coach for the Indian swim team.  Becky began swimming for the Old Orchard I Dolphin HOA swim team at 6 years old and soon joined Canyons Aquatic Club at the age of 8.  As a 4 year varsity swimmer for Hart, Becky was a Scholastic All-American her sophomore year.  After finishing 2nd place in almost every CIF race since her freshman year, Becky finally won the 50 free her senior year.

After high school, Becky swam for College of the Canyons and Oregon State University.  She graduated from UCSB with a degree in accounting.  After working as an accountant for 3 years, Becky decided to start a family with high school sweet heart and former Hart swimmer, Brian Cianessi.  Becky and Brian have 4 year old twins who are sure to be future Hart swimmers!

Becky was a swim coach for the Old Orchard I Dolphins for 6 years, Canyons Aquatic Club for 2 years and Golden Valley High School for 3 years.
