SHS Swimming Head Coach
Coach Vicky is a 1999 graduate of Saugus High School, where she lettered in Varsity swimming all four years. After graduating from Saugus, Coach Vicky went on to swim for NCAA Division I San Diego State Women’s Swim Team. While at San Diego State, she learned many of the values and beliefs she teaches today in the pool. In 2003 she received a BS in Public Administration. After graduating, she moved back to Valencia and began coaching at Canyons Aquatic Club, where she grew up swimming. Coach Vicky has been coaching at Canyons for six years and can honestly say she loves what she does. Swimming is her passion and she is fortunate enough to be in a job where she can give back to the sport that has taught and given her so much. Coach Vicky is excited to be back at her alma mater and is looking forward to a successful swim season.
Curren Bates
SHS Assistant Swim Coach
Curren attended Hart High School from 2004 – 2008, where he lettered in Varsity Swimming three years in a row, was a 4-time Foothill League Champion and 2008 CIF runner-up. After graduating from Hart Curren swam at California Baptist University for two years and was a member of the 2009 NAIA National Championship Team and the 2010 NAIA National Champion runners-up. Curren was one of Hart High’s and CBU’s top breastroker and IM’er. He is currenty attending Masters College where he is working towards his Business Degree with an emphasis on Public Relations.
