Kaylee Rabjohn

"It's never too late to be what you might have been." ~ George Eliot

Kaylee, a Junior at Saugus who has been swimming for the team since her Freshman year, says her teammates are a big motivation for her coming to practice everyday. "The athletes not only motivate me but inspire me and challenge me every day." She adds, "The thrill and excitement of racing gets me up onto the block. The desire and joy of hitting lower times keeps me going back."

One of Kaylee's all time heroes is her dad. "He overcame huge obstacles in his life and never gave up." She adds, "He always taught me to never give up, and he is the reason I am known for the strong positive attitude I have today." Additionally, Kaylee says the athlete that inspires her is Jackie Robinson. She states, "It inspires me to think of everything he went through for the love of the sport."

Kaylee advises her teammates to "not let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game. The Saugus swim team is much more than a competitive state of mind. It is more than just the race factor. We are a family and everything we do is worth it. We struggle together and we succeed together."

When not in the pool, Kaylee enjoys spending time with her cousins, who she's with all the time. She also enjoys going to the beach and to other vacation locations. She adds, "I really like anything outdoors." She also enjoys watching football and watching her favorite movie, Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
