Welcome to the Village of WestClay Swim Team Website!
The Village of WestClay Swim team, also known as the VWC Vortex, is a summer swim team for neighborhood children ages 4-14. Our goal is to provide swimmers with a chance to improve their stroke technique, have fun, and be part of a team! Our season is short, only 6 weeks in total, yet action packed with 5 swim meets and practice offered each weekday.
A dedicated committee runs all aspects of the program. You can find us listed under the "Coaches and Committee" tab, and we welcome your feedback, questions, or suggestions.
We look forward to a great 2009 summer swim season!
Noteworthy Items .......
Enjoy a week with practice only Monday through Thursday morning (June 29th -July 2nd). There is no practice July 3rd.
Our final meets take place on Tuesday, July 7th (away) and Thursday, July 9th (home). More information will follow soon about these meets.
Mark your calendars - Our end of season ice cream party has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 12th from 6-8pm at Provost.

Click here to see an actual stroke judge disqualification sheet. This document lists all the potential errors swimmers can make which result in a disqualification. Remember, if a swimmer is disqualified, they automatically receive zero points and a 4th place ribbon.
